The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String C+
Year Released: 2003
Make no mistake: The Lord of the G-Strings: The Femaleship of the String is just as dimwitted and juvenile as most of Seduction Cinema's other Hollywood movie parodies filled with girl-on-girl sex and rampant nudity. But like The Erotic Witch Project and Play-Mate of the Apes, it has enough goofy charm to keep it from the trash heap where Seduction titles like The Sexy 6th Sense and Mummy Raider reside. The movie follows the adventures of throbbit Dildo Saggins (Misty Mundae), who is sent by Smirnoff the Wizard (Michael R. Thomas) on a quest to destroy an erotically charged G-string with the aid of her pals Hornee (Darian Caine) and Spam (A.J. Khan). While the film goes overboard with fart jokes (courtesy of John P. Fedele as the evil wizard Sourass), much of the humor is relatively inspired and funny in a sub-Zucker Brothers kinda way -- especially during the epic battle scene in which the scantily clad villainess Horspank (Paige Richards) gets her spear stuck in the ground and calls for a time-out. Plus, Michael R. Thomas steals every scene he's in as the drunken, horny old wizard who could be the long-lost brother of Ian McKellen's Gandalf. Maybe. Unfortunately, the unrated version of Lord of the G-Strings screeches to a halt far too often for extended lesbian sex scenes that are never quite as erotic as they should be. (Seduction fans may be surprised to learn that there are also two hetero scenes in this one.) Writer-director Terry M. West says that the R-rated version (which I haven't seen) tones down the sex in favor of more gags and silliness. It's also West's preferred version. Still, Lord of the G-Strings is among the best Seduction Cinema releases I've seen. Too bad it doesn't have Misty Mundae doing an encore of her Play-Mate of the Apes rap. Maybe that's in the R-rated cut. Review published 03.11.2003. Follow Michael Scrutchin on Twitter or Letterboxd.
