I will again shamelessly shill for Brother Bill.
Bill Sebastian (Portal: the Movie, Midlothia, Deadroom) has just had his debut film, Irish American Ninja aka The Life of George McGoogle (the name by which I knew it) released on DVD. He did this movie while he was going to school and working as an intern, and the entire thing took him a couple of years to produce. It debuted in 1999, showed at a smattering of festivals, and was, IMO, prematurely buried.
I'm not just hyperbolizing it's unavailability before this time. As one of Bill's friends, I haven't seen the film since it's initial run 6 years ago. All I know is that 6 years later I still consider it an achievement.
