Quote: | Starting April 1 at all Landmark Theatres in America is the Stella Artois Short Film Series. Before most to all of our films we will show a short film to give exposure to budding filmmakers. The shorts will change monthly and will run 1 to 4 minutes. These shorts will be presented before the previews. |
mfritschel and I saw one of these shorts on Friday. We just thought it was part of the Millions package, not a new Landmark policy. As a huge fan of short films, I find this news very exciting.
Matt Header, where was the heads-up on this?

Yeah, I just found out about this today (Sunday), and it's been showing for three days now while I've been working.
Cool stuff. I don't know who came up with the idea, but it's promising.
Also, just got back from the WI Film Festival in Madison. I didn't get to see as many movies as I would have liked -- only six -- but of those, I liked two a lot: Kabala and Brothers, from Mali and Denmark respectively. _________________ "I don't like talking to people I know, but strangers I have no problem with." -- Larry David, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" |
