Godzilla 2000
Pretty Woman
Notting Hill (I swear on my life I actually don't like Julia Roberts)
The 13th Warrior
Zoolander
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The Red Dress
And my most favorite guilty pleasure: THE FIFTH ELEMENT
As far as I'm concerned, that will become a bonifide classic in my house. _________________ Check out my own (considerably cheaper) review site at http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=TheRingbearer11 |

I actually think Unbreakable is one of the best movies since 2000, a perfect example of maintaining atmosphere and an extremely interesting tale of superhero morality in a modern society increasingly deteriorated by lovelessness. I don't think you have to feel guilty about liking that one - I don't! |

I agree that Unbreakable is a good picture, for similar reasons. But I've often wondered whether Shyamalan consciously introduced such thematic elements, or whether we--the audience--simply appropriated the story and images for our own purposes. I'm convinced regarding Shyamalan's technical and atmospheric prowess, but still skeptical regarding his intellectual or artistic reserves. I fear there may be a ceiling to his abilities.
And Gladiator is a genuinely good film, too, featuring Crowe's commanding screen presence, and a tight focus on its themes. I'll confess that Scorpion King is a mild guilty pleasure for me.

Dead Man, too, is a very good film in my opinion - sometimes weird for the sake of weird, but often gloriously original. |

It's a masterpiece, if you ask me. |

I saw Cabin Fever on someones post, my lord, that is like an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. It has got to be one of the movies that I dislike the most! ARG. _________________ Stefanie Duckwitz |

Don't you mean "Mi tambien," Danny? I'm not pretending to be fluent in Spanish, I just always thought that was the way it's said. _________________ Check out my own (considerably cheaper) review site at http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=TheRingbearer11 |

I love it. It rocks.
Funny thing is, I usually hate these recent teen-slasher-esque type films. *shrugs* _________________ "Pino, fuck you, fuck your fuckin' pizza, and fuck Frank Sinatra." |
