Was this site restored from a backup or something? My last 15 or so posts are missing... and I'd finally made Camera Operator, too. |

Ahhh! This is driving me insane.
My host moved all their sites to new, better servers -- before doing so, telling me that there would be little or no noticeable downtime -- and I've experienced over two days of downtime and, now, crazy stuff like this. I'm about to fire off some emails to tech support to see what's up. _________________ Michael Scrutchin

We're definitely behind a few weeks. A great deal of discussion is missing. _________________ "When I was in Barcelona they showed pornography on regular television. I'm assuming it's the same way in Mexico since they also speak Spanish." - IMDb user comment |

Looks to me like they restored the forum database, but it's from around the 8th of June. |

I suppose it would be unwise to post anything until this is all straightened out. In the event that the last two weeks are completely lost and we attempt to reconstruct it from memory, I'd like to point out that everyone agreed with my opinions in that time frame, and I won all arguments. _________________ "If you're talking about censorship, and what things should be shown and what things shouldn't be shown, I've said that as an artist you have no social responsibility whatsoever."

Well, I got them to restore the main site (looks like it worked), but whatever they did didn't restore the forum database. They said it should have, and that they're looking into it. _________________ Michael Scrutchin

This afternoon the main site appeared restored, but now it has reverted back to the June 7 update. _________________ "When I was in Barcelona they showed pornography on regular television. I'm assuming it's the same way in Mexico since they also speak Spanish." - IMDb user comment |

My fear is if we post things now and they restore it, the new stuff will be lost. _________________ Danny Baldwin

I'm still getting the latest update, June 15. Ahhh!
It's DNS propagation issues. I've read quite a bit about these things online -- although this stuff tends to make my head spin -- and with most similar cases, things tend to get back to normal within a week. So if things aren't completely straightened out in a couple of days, I'd say we're screwed. Time to throw in the towel. Give up. Who needs this site anyway?
But, really, this is driving me crazy. _________________ Michael Scrutchin

After some back-and-forth with tech support, I don't think we're gonna get a more recent database backup. Sorry. That royally sucks. All of our brilliant thoughts posted within that week or two are forever gone. From now on, I'll do more frequent forum-database backups myself.
That said, everything else appears to be pretty much straightened out.
If anyone's experiencing any weird problems, please let me know. _________________ Michael Scrutchin

And my host just gave me a month of free hosting for all the trouble caused by the move. Maybe I'll forgive them...
