On Sunday, June 27th at Jansen Family Park, West Bend there is a charity event featuring 10+ local bands. All proceeds will be going towards the Relay For Life. Admission is tentatively planned to be $5 a person, but it may change.

I'd just like to note that my wife's maiden name is Jansen, and that Jansen Family Park refers to her--and, I guess, my--family. I'd also like to add that I refuse to support a charity event. Frankly, I'm opposed to helping others.

My wife's family also inspired the nearby road called Jansen Drive. Their bloodline pumps right from the heart of West Bend itself. My wife also believes that she is an extremely distant relative of Olympic speedskater Dan Jansen. The Beltmanns, on the other hand, are a cadre of lunatics with thin ties to South Dakota and Germany (hence the double "n").

Wow... I've just discovered these wonderful forums and have decided to sign up and add to the fun  .
To stay on topic, however...
I will be playing in two of the bands at this show: An Autumn's Alibi (my main band) and Jimmy D and the Skanks (referring to, in this case, the dance; not the derogatory term  ). An Autumn's Alibi is an indie/post-hardcore band and Jimmy D is a ska band.
Alright, I'm done "pimping" now, so I shall part with the wise words of a strange fellow from my American Lit. class (for whom I have deep respect for)... "Good day." |

This isn't really pimping my stuff because it kind of already happened and stuff.
I played at the show in 1 and a half bands because one wasn't really much of a band. Really early in the day, Matt Muelling, Sean Rogan, and I just started jamming and playing random stuff that none of us really knew and my full time band Your Mom (a rap / ska / polka / emo / punk / screamo / alt rock / hardcore / jam band) played later...
But Beltmann didn't show up....and I was sad

I still want to see Beltmann in the pit at our next show. That would rock the house.
EDIT: Jordan you guys played a great set. A little more mellow set than normal but it was all good. You even got people skanking to santeria.

I want to see Beltmann get so angry when he's in that pit that he punches some guy right in the face. I would then be able to cross something off of my "Top Ten Things to See" list.
