Fangoria reports that the original Japanese version of Gojira/Godzilla will finally see release in the US. This is the entire movie with the original soundtrack, and sans scenes with an American reporter played by Raymond Burr. I'm truly looking forward to seeing this; while I'll always like the Burr version, I've often found the story a bit incoherent.

Fango sez: "New 35mm prints of the freshly subtitled, 60-percent-longer-than-you've ever-seen-it Godzilla began playing in New York and San Francisco May 7 .... Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. will follow before Godzilla heads for other U.S. cities and, eventually, a home video release."
