I just cleaned up the site design and I think I'm happy with it. I got rid of all the banners and other junk that just cluttered up things. Instead of Arial for the main font, now we've got Verdana. I like Verdana more than Arial when reading long text passages; I think it's great for reviews and the site as a whole -- a bit more elegant, maybe. Yeah, I think I dig it. Of course, I can easily switch back to Arial at any time. So, whatcha think?
EDIT: I switched the font back to Arial (see below). _________________ Michael Scrutchin

Aw, c'mon. I just cleaned up the menu bar so that it only takes up one line. Instead of a link reading 'Discussion Forum,' it just says 'Forum.' The new menu bar will just take some getting used to, that's all. Besides, you can always bookmark the forum if the link on the menu bar is that hard to find.

In all honesty, I do appreciate your menu changes and your positioning of one at the bottom -- however, I find Arial infinitely superior to Verdana, and I thought that was one of the main pleasures of reading Flipside reviews: not only were they thoughtful and exceedingly well written, but they were easy to read, too, font-wise. Or whatever.
I assume you expect to get more feedback from the rest of the guys, so let's wait and see what they have to say. |

Thanks for your feedback.
I switched the font back to Arial. I think you're right -- Arial just fits Flipside.
When I logged onto the site this morning, Verdana didn't look right. I only have to change one file to change the font of the entire site, so it's no problem changing fonts and whatnot, but I think we'll stick with Arial. _________________ Michael Scrutchin

I'm glad you changed it -- it just didn't look right. The menu changes are much appreciated, however. |
