I missed what Lector said to Cordell to convince him to kill Mason. It was when Starling had just saved Lector from the man-eating pigs on Mason's property.

Too lazy/poor to rent it again.

Could someone tell me what he said, and why it convinced Cordell to kill Mason?

I never read the book, so was there something in the novel that explained it better (assuming the scene was actually in the book).
