...some films, which you didn't like after a first viewing, but after a second viewing, you fell in love with?

For me:

Secretary

Schindler's List
(I know, I know)

Vertigo

Wild at Heart
(actually around three times, and I haven't quite fallen in love with it)

A.I. Artificial Intelligence

Rushmore

I didn't dislike either of these the first time around, but compared to what I thought of them the second time, it sure seems like it.

Unbreakable springs to mind. When I first watched it, I liked it a lot but it sort of disappointed me in a way - then on a second viewing I fell in love with it. I've seen it about fifteen times ever since.

Rashomon - I thought it was just allright the first time around. It didnt really engage me the way it did on subsequent viewings.I thought the acting was phenomenally overdone. The only thing I remember liking about it were the multiple POV narrative and the cinematography which was undoubtedly extraordinary with shots aimed at the sun and the tracking shots with tajomaru running through the woods.I understand it much better now and it's one of my favourite films along with being my favourite Kurosawa film.
