After reading the lengthy discussion on this board about Irreversible, it got me interested in seeing it. I finally found a place that was selling it, but when I read the back cover, it sounded like a serious Memento ripoff, so I decided against getting it. For those of you who have seen it, is it a Memento knock off, or is it worth seeing?

Structurally it is very similar to what Memento did, but I wouldn't call it a rip-off in any way. First, I doubt the structure is the most significant aspect of either picture. Second, the similarities between Memento and Irreversible pretty much end there.

A rip-off of Memento? Not even close.

I think (though could be very wrong) that Noe had this idea before Memento was released.
