My hamster named Al Capone (hamster - ganster, geddit? ) died a few months ago... And you, do you have any dogs, chimpanzees, snakes, bulls or Guinea pigs? |

I have a plant.
About 8 years ago, when my wife and I were still in our first apartment in Green Bay, Wisconsin, there was a knock on our door. It was our upstairs neighbor, who we barely knew. She stood at the door, holding a tiny plant in a tiny pot. "I have to move. I can't take this with me. Can you take it?" We agreed, and now that plant, once a foot tall, stands at nearly six feet and dominates an entire corner of our home. It's out of control, and I keep waiting for Howard Keel to come crashing in to warn us.

We have three house cats, Booger (aka Boo-Boo), Opal (aka Opie or Dopey Opie, a nickname she garnered after she fell out a second story window), and Small Fry (aka Steak Fry, Wedge Cut, Button Eyes, or The Dude, 'cause he ain't so small no more). A stray recently adopted us, and we named her Sketchy, because she's small, skinny, and, when she first started hanging around, very skittish. Sketchy recently had a kitten, who is now a month old. We discovered the kitten has a crumpled and stunted back leg -- birth defect, most likely -- and must hop around on three legs, so we named her Tripod. _________________ "If you're talking about censorship, and what things should be shown and what things shouldn't be shown, I've said that as an artist you have no social responsibility whatsoever."
