I am fairly happy with the results last night. Democrats took the house, may take the senate, and thank god Mark Green is not Gov. of Wisconsin. The only disappointing part of all this is that our college campaigned hard to vote no on the Gay Marriage ban and it still passed. But hoping for that was a bit much.

PS: Donald Rumsfeld is resigning...thank god

Had Bush let him resign two years ago like we all know he wanted to, the Republicans would likely have come out with the win.

That not a single Republican has independently come out with the realization that the Democrats won on the sole line that "we're not Bush" is truly worrisome. Bush single-handedly destroyed his party by allowing the Democrats such an easy target.

Nancy Pelosi will have as much (if not more) power than the President himself, and that scares me more than anything. And that it's basically the fault of the current administration leaves everybody yearning for two years from now more than ever before.

Russ Feingold officially announced he won't seek the Democratic nomination in 2008. This saddens me because I have no idea who would make nearly an equal candidate. Clinton is too moderate for my views and Obama is too young, but I would still vote for him. I think it will come down to Clinton vs. McCain...in which case I really have little preference. Looks like an independent vote from me in 2008.
