I gotta admit to having a man-crush on Billy Crudup. It's nothing sexual at all -- he's just a good-looking, intensely magnetic, charming guy. I don't understand guys who can't say whether or not another dude is good-looking. Most straight women won't hesitate to say whether or not they think another female is attractive, but many straight guys seem to have this intense fear of being thought of as gay, or of possibly being gay. I don't get it -- that's just so gay.

Me either. It really isn't much of a big deal. Most people tend to have very specific tastes in regards to physical beauty. For example, I have a very particular taste for women with large eyes, small chins, and "heart-shaped" faces. Lo and behold, Jude Law fits that preference perfectly. I think Americans in general tend to confuse attraction with sex; and yet, finding someone attractive, whether they are the same sex or the opposite sex, does not necessarily equate to wanting to hop into bed with them. _________________ "If you're talking about censorship, and what things should be shown and what things shouldn't be shown, I've said that as an artist you have no social responsibility whatsoever."

Yeah, I mean, I have to admit, Orson Welles was pretty good-looking. |

Oh, please, Mr. Lime, stop! You're turning me on way too much! Oh!!!
David Bowie is one of the most attractive human beings on the planet, even still. Visually certainly, but also by the fact that he is the epitome of cool.
My first girlfriend had a gigantic crush on Orlando Bloom, so I got her a LOTR doll of Legolas for our anniversary. She didn't like the joke very much. |

I'm sure that explains this PM I got from you:

So cryptic.
By the way, I love the Talking Heads! "Road to Nowhere" is terrific. Have you heard the new David Byrne album? I've only read reviews, but it sounds wonderful.

LOL, Eric. Your post was such a fluid transition.
I too adore the Talking Heads and bought Byrne's new album this weekend. It is very fantastic - among his best solo work, in my opinion. He is a somewhat underrated artist, whose varied musical inspirations remind me of David Bowie (another one of my idols). |
